Decorating with Branches

I have seen many blogs out there mention CSN stores, and host giveaways. I have been amazed and what you can buy from them online! I was contacted by the folks at CSN to review a product, and I was delighted to oblige! CSN has an incredible selection of items for sale online, from dining room chairs, to decor items, to horse paraphinalia, perfect for my horse obsessed daughter. I look forward to working with CSN.....stay tuned for my review soon!

I have always been drawn to decorating with natural elements. As I prepare my home for fall, I find myself reaching for gourds, squash, rafia, and branches. Recently my hubby had to quite harshly prune back our Curly Willow tree which was starting to cause some damage to the roof of our guest house. Seemed like the perfect opportunity to harvest some new branches!

Good thing Willow's are hardy! We pruned this tree quite drastically this year.

There are a lot of curly lovelies to choose from!

They fill this urn in my dining room quite nicely.

I am looking for an antique piece for this corner, but for now, I like this look. I'm trying to decide if I'll spray paint these branches white...hmmm, live with them like this for now and think on it.

More branches from the Curly Willow in the front entry.

I bought these bunches at a local farmers market.

A Willow branch wreath left on our side door by the previous home owners.

Bunches of Maple branches in an umbrella stand. Simple, yet effective.

Pull on some boots, grab a tea-to-go and a pair of pruners and head outside. Perhaps the perfect decor for those autumn touches in your home are just outside your door!

I love these decorating ideas. Guess I have to sneak into our neighbors garden and steal some branches from their willow tree ;)
I wouldn't paint the branches white. They look so nice just the way they are.

You brought back some wonderful memories of our first home. We were so excited and just had to landscape our tiny backyard and plant a curly willow tree. Within a year our yard and house were overtaken and we had to move! Not really, but we did move and the new owners cut down our curly willow, not that I blame them! It was out of control, but sure made for some nice filler! jules

love it all. I've thrown some branches into the mulch pile thinking they'd be cool for display.

I love decorating with twigs and branches. They are a perfect natural element to place in your home. So nice that you have such a great tree right in your own yard. You have done a lovely job with placing them in your home.
