Photowalls

I love a well done photo wall, but have been too chicken to try one of my own. Check out these beaut's:

Image: Country Living

Image: Andrew Pike's wall, as seen at Canadian House and Home

My dear friend Christine, of Bijou & Boheme, photo walled to perfection.

Also, I love this version of photos mixed with clocks and other lovelies by Carrie of Buzzings of a Queen Bee.

I would love to add a photowall to my stairway, but alas, with the upcoming sale of my home, it shall await a new hall or stairway in our next house.  I would love to incorporate a wall using mainly clocks.  I think that would look amazing!

Enjoy your day!

A wall full of clocks would be stunning! Good luck with the sale of your house. It's such a pain to have it always "show ready." But your home is gorgeous so maybe it won't be on the market long.

I was in Pottery Barn earlier this week and they had a clock wall and I though how cool is that...you might be onto something!

Ah thanks so much for the mention Andrea and trust me, the photo wall is waaay easier to execute than you might think. I was nervous about the whole thing to but it went up without a hitch in just an hour- just start at the bottom and work your way up...I love it and definitely think you should go for it in your new home. And speaking of, do you know where you're moving too yet?

I, too, need to work up the nerve to do one in my home. I love the look of one. These pictures are a great inspiration.

My problem is shelling out the money for the frames, I love the images though!

I love photo walls too. I just wonder if it would feel too cluttery for me though. I love your idea with clocks :)

I'm a chicken too. I just can't bear the thought of putting all of those holes in my walls, but I do LOVE the look!

Great inspiration to do any wall, but I, too, have a stairway that certainly needs an up.

Hi Andrea: I too want to do one of these. I have a huge blank wall in my stairway. I want to add the wainscotting too and maybe even wallpaper on top (scrubbable... those walls are the worst for hand prints!).

In my old home I had one wall in my dining room full of family photos in all different types/color/sizes of frames and my family loved it when they would come over and remember all the fun times. Now we are in a new home and I don't have the long walls that I had....sooooo...what my plan is too keep my photos down to a 5 by 7 size and they are all going into black painted frames from Ikea on the entry wall from the dining room (my kitchen is getting done in mainly black and white). Now I have to find new homes for all the lovely frames from the old house...some of them are going to get repurposed and then we have a "yard sale" pile started in the garage.

Those are great. I have been thinking of doing a photo section on the walls going down the stairs but when I look at these my first thought is ......man, that would be a lot of dusting.
